Prometheus
Role in the Homelab
Section titled “Role in the Homelab”Prometheus will collect time-series metrics from network devices, Proxmox hosts, and containerized services. It is the metrics backbone of the planned Local SRE Platform.
Planned Scope
Section titled “Planned Scope”- Node and VM metrics from the Proxmox hypervisor.
- SNMP or exporter-based metrics from Cisco switches.
- Container and application metrics from Docker workloads.
Scrape Targets
Section titled “Scrape Targets”Target inventory and prometheus.yml configuration will be documented here once deployed.
Current Status
Section titled “Current Status”Not yet deployed. Architecture and scrape targets will be documented as part of the Local SRE Platform rollout.
